The Impostor

In a clinic in the Balkans, a dodgy doctor and an ex-nun are dicing with death - mostly other peoples - as they spiral towards a nemesis that threatens to unravel civilization.

Mike Venner, playwright in residence for the Beehive Theatre Co., has delivered an explosive piece of theatre. Love, lust, truth and identity lurk beneath a surface of high humour set against a background of betrayal. The plot romps along with infectious fun delivering a frenetic black comedy that is not to be missed. Visit Beehive Theatre website

Beehive Theatre Company's performance of Mike Venner's 'The Impostor' will be opening on Thursday, April 30th at 8.15, one show only.

Loose Strife
The company will produce a contemporary production, in association with Siamsa Tíre, of Shakespeare's most popular work during the Féile na Bealtaine festival (April 29 - May 4, 2009). The show will be a promenade where the audienceare enrolled as observers who will travel on a bus where the story will unfold enroute, both on the transport and at a number of historical venues on the Peninsula where they will disembark and witness the unfolding drama. This, a memory play hosted by the Weird Sisters is a unique insight into a destabilised world where manipulation fuels over-reaching ambition, murder, assassination and, ultimately, the tragic downfall of flawed people.
